Despite the unpredictable weather, dozens of people gathered in the square with genuine smiles. They warmly greeted each other, exchanged well wishes, and felt the spirit of spring filling their souls with renewal and light. Among the attendees were fellow countrymen who had traveled specifically for the event, as well as students studying at London universities.

The festival was organized by Kazakh and Uzbek students in London. University College London (UCL) provided the venue in a park, ensuring the stage and safety arrangements. Daniyal Asqargaliyev, President of the Kazakh Students’ Association, emphasized that the main goal of the event was to introduce international friends to the centuries-old cultural heritage of Central Asia. Due to the beginning of Ramadan, Nauryz was celebrated slightly earlier this year.

At the venue, guests had the opportunity to taste Uzbek and Tajik plov, while Kazakh jewelers and artisans displayed their handcrafted works. Young musicians performed folk songs accompanied by the dombra, filling the air with melodies that touched the soul. Even the youngest participants took part—children took the stage, delighting the audience with their talents.

This festival served as a vivid reminder of the timeless value of culture and tradition. It awakened a sense of pride in Kazakhs living abroad and gave all attendees an unforgettable feeling of warmth and brotherhood. Nauryz in London left a lasting impression on everyone, symbolizing renewal, unity, and friendship.
