The two-lane bridge over the Buktarma reservoir has undergone a special test. This is the longest bridge in Kazakhstan, its length is 1316 meters. The two-lane bridge ensures uninterrupted traffic throughout the year between Zharma, Katonkaragai, Kurchim, Kokpekti, Zaisan and Altai districts of East Kazakhstan region.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Transport: "15 trucks with a total load of 450 tons were pulled to check the construction of the bridge. Special devices recorded the indicators of deformation, vibration and load distribution on the bridge.

As a result of the test, it was confirmed that the new bridge meets all regulatory safety requirements and can withstand large loads.

It should be noted that during his working visit to the East Kazakhstan region in July, the Head of Government Olzhas Bektenov got acquainted with the plans for the development of the road sector and checked the construction pace of the Kurchum bridge over the Buktyrma reservoir. In addition, it was said that the bridge being built in the East Kazakhstan region may be tolled.
